In March 2023, compared to the same period last year, there was a decrease in the number of transport vehicles passing through the Bologna Freight Village.

In line with expectations, the first quarter of 2023 is shaping up as a period of slowdown in economic activities, and freight transport, which has always reflected this trend, shows a tendential contraction that is not surprising.

In particular, at the road level, trucks in the month fell by 2%, while at the rail level, trains contracted by 18% and rail wagons by 11%.

At the economic level, the dynamic is positive in all traffic sectors. Compared to February, there was an increase in road traffic (+15%) and rail traffic (+10% trains and +6% wagons).
