The strategic role of Interporto Bologna in the international railway network is increasingly marked.
In confirmation of this, official February traffic data testify to an important growth in the road sector but also and above all in the railway sector.
In fact, compared to the same period last year, there was an increase of 21% in the number of trains and 38% in the number of wagons.
Despite the fact that the month of February has fewer working days than January, compared to the previous month there is a growth in the railway sector, which is 26% more trains and 23% more wagons.
The year 2019 already shows itself to be a year in which Interporto Bologna will fully enter a new phase that foresees an ever-increasing weight of service activities linked to the three railway terminals that qualify its function as a gateway to support long-distance intermodal transport.
