In March 2021, traffic recorded at the Bologna freight village was positive in all sectors.
Road transport returned to show significant growth (+30.8%) compared to the same period last year and also shows a good recovery at the economic level (+13.9% compared to February 2021).
Turning to rail transport, the substantial growth in the number of trains and the number of wagons was confirmed this month as well.
Compared to the same period in 2020, the number of trains increased by 43.3% and the number of wagons by 31.6%.
The cumulative figure for the first quarter is therefore very positive, especially for rail freight, which has maintained steady growth over the months.
Compared to the first three months of 2020, trains are up 40.2% and wagons are up 30.2%.
