In February, compared to the same period last year, the traffic figures recorded at Bologna Freight Village show a positive sign in all sectors.

The railway sector grew the most, both in terms of trends and the economy.

In particular, the number of trains arriving and departing grew by more than 11 percentage points compared to February 2021 and by 29% compared to a month ago. Similarly, the number of rail wagons is up 16% compared to a year ago and 33% compared to last month.

On the road side, growth is less marked, but still positive. The number of lorries registered in February 2022, compared to 2021, increased by 5%, a percentage which doubles if we analyse the growth compared to January 2022.

Consequently, the cumulative figure for the first two years of this year is positive for all traffic flows recorded in Bologna's logistics infrastructure, especially for rail transport.
