The positive trend in rail freight transport recorded at the Bologna Freight Village continued in August 2022.
Compared to the same period in 2021, in fact, there was a 22% growth in the number of trains handled and a 28% increase in the movement of rail wagons.
On the road side, growth is more moderate and is around 7%.
On the other hand, there is a 10% drop in the number of trucks (August 2022 compared to July 2022), which is affected by the natural decline due to the summer period. Similarly, trains and rail wagons contracted by 22%.
The cumulative figure for the period, given the previous growing months, continues to show a positive sign for rail freight transport. Stationary as far as road transport is concerned.
