In April 2021, compared to the same period in 2020, the traffic recorded at the Bologna interport was very positive in all traffic sectors.
This result is expected considering that a year ago the health emergency was in full swing and also in Bologna, in April 2020 compared to 2019, there was a decrease of 30% of trucks, 9% of trains and 17.9% of wagons.
In 2021 compared to 2020, therefore, there are very positive signs, especially on the railways.
While lorries have increased by 67%, the number of trains has risen by 84% and the number of wagons by 73%.
Compared to March 2021, the rail sector is still showing positive signs, with trains and wagons up by around 2%.
On the other hand, the number of lorries fell slightly by 5% compared to a month ago.
The cumulative figure for the period January-April 2021 (compared to January-April 2020) is consequently very positive in all traffic sectors, with figures showing growth of around 19% in road traffic and almost 50% more in trains and 39% more in rail wagons.
