The project is financed by Horizon2020 programme and its aim is to leverage the full potential of European Logistics Clusters for an efficient and fully integrated transport system in Europe, while keeping neutral the environmental and local impacts. The European logistics hubs involved in the project are: PLAZA (Zaragoza), Duisport (Duisburg), Dourges (Lille), Interporto Bologna/Port of Trieste (Bologna-Trieste), BruCargo (Bruxelles), Heathrow (London), PCT (Pireaus), Port (Trelleborg).
Consorzio IB Innovation, spin-off of Interporto Bologna, with the technological support of DBA Lab SpA, is part of the Project Executive Board as leader of a work package for the creation of an IT platform able to leverage synergies between logistics and intermodal nodes, with the aim of improving their functionality and productivity through the efficient management of information. The IT platform, Cluster Community System (CluCS), will be tested initially in the rail and road connections between Interporto Bologna and other logistics nodes of Emilia-Romagna region, then it will be extended to the Trieste area becoming a Cluster.
During the meeting the state of the art of the activities and the project achievements until mid-project were presented and the future steps discussed. The Project Officer congratulated all the project participants for the results achieved so far.
