Work has been completed on the new railway maintenance workshop in Interporto Bologna, where maintenance and overhaul work is carried out on railway freight wagons and locomotives.
With its 1,000 square meters, the new workshop has tripled in size compared to the previous one, is equipped with an inspection pit 35 m long and has inside a overhead crane with a capacity of 18 t, a technical room equipped with compressor and generator, a walkway of 32 m for loco upper inspection and premises for office use, dining room and dressing room.
"We are proud of this new jewel - comments the General Manager Sergio Crespi - which will allow the increase in productivity and the extension of the range of action of scheduled maintenance, while allowing the staff employed more comfort.
The new workshop represents another important step towards the complete relaunch of Interporto Bologna.
