The Minister of Infrastructure and Sustainable Mobility, Enrico Giovannini, has signed the decree distributing the resources among the 32 companies eligible for funding from the 55 million euro contributions of the National Plan Complementary to the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), aimed at favouring the purchase of new rail freight transport vehicles, portal-transtainer cranes, reach stackers and loco tractors.
Interporto Bologna SpA is among the beneficiaries and will receive a contribution of EUR 4,300,000.00, which will be used to purchase gantry cranes for the new railway terminal, which with 750 m rails will make it possible to reach the standards required by the European Commission.
"Having obtained this additional funding from the Ministry is very important for us. We are betting a lot on the development of railway relations and there is an urgent need to renew the railway infrastructure in Interporto," comments Giuseppe Dall'Asta, Director of Interporto Bologna SpA.
