On Thursday 5 May, the Final Conference of the INTERGREEN project, co-funded under the Interreg Central Europe programme, took place virtually.
The INTERGREEN-Nodes project aimed to improve coordination between freight transport actors by facilitating alignment between regional interests and EU recommendations on freight transport and regional development. The partners involved worked to harmonise planning methods according to spatial planning needs, improving intermodal terminal processes and the needs of the immediate vicinity of the terminals. This enabled the terminals to better adapt to the future demands of growing freight flows and the need to organise terminal processes in an environmentally friendly way.
The project started in April 2019 and will officially end in June 2022, with the completion of all planned work and demonstrators, and saw the participation of several European partners, led by the Technical University of Applied Sciences in Wildau.
Interporto Bologna participated by bringing as a demo the LNG distributor implemented in the infrastructure with ENI Group, which will facilitate the refueling of a more sustainable fuel by heavy traffic.
