Positive traffic data for all sectors in September 2020, both in terms of trends (September 2020 to September 2019) and economic trends (September 2020 to August 2020).
There was strong growth especially in the railway sector, which continued its positive trend both in terms of the number of trains (45.3% on September 2019 and +28% on the previous month) and wagons (+35.3% compared to the same month in 2019 and +30% compared to a month ago).
The economic trend is expected considering the comparison with the month of August, when production activities slowed down due to the summer holidays, but it is positive especially considering the historical moment: rail traffic is in fact growing also considering the cumulative period January-September of the whole of 2020.
As regards the road sector, road transport is also growing: +6.0% compared to September 2019 and +44% compared to August 2020. The gap with the pandemic is closing and the cumulative figure for the period is -5.3%.
