The health emergency dictated by the COVID-19 still shows its effects when analyzing traffic trends in May 2019, but at the economic level it shows signs of recovery.
In May, compared to the same period last year, companies at the Bologna Freight Village generated 20% less truck traffic.
However, measuring the change compared to a month ago, a positive sign emerges (+32%).
The same can be said for the railways, a sector that is still performing better than road transport.
Trains have fallen by only 5% compared to a year ago and have increased by 14% compared to April 2020.
As regards wagons, on the other hand, there has been a trend decrease of 17% and an economic growth of 12%.
