The health emergency dictated by COVID-19 also had an effect on the transport activity of the companies located at the Interporto di Bologna.

Actually, the traffic data during the month of April show a trend (compared to the same period last year) and economic decline (compared to March 2020) in all traffic sectors.

The number of trucks fell by 31% compared to a year ago and by 26% compared to the previous month.

The rail sector, as mentioned above, is showing less worrying signs.

The number of trains fell by 9% compared to April 2019 (23 fewer trains) and by 20% compared to a month ago.

However, in the first months of 2020 the railway sector has shown a strong expansion and this allows us to benefit from a positive value in the cumulative period January-April 2020 compared to the same period last year (+7 the number of trains).
